William Chang has completely redefined the aesthetics
of Hong Kong cinema. He studied film in Canada and since his return has been
the most sought-after production designer and art director in the Hong Kong
film industry. His many credits include The Homecoming (1984) and Red Dust
(1990) for Yim Ho, The Peach Blossom Land
(1992) for Stan Lai and Zu: Warriors from
the Magic Mountain (1984) and The
Blade (1995) for Tsui Hark. He has
production designed all of Wong Kar-Wai's films and has also edited all of them
since Ashes of Time.
